Audio and Camera Settings

Important! Give yourself a few minutes at the start of a meeting to make sure your audio and camera are functioning properly. 

1. Click the arrow next to the mute button and control check that you are using the correct microphone and speaker.

If your sound is still not cooperating, check:
a) that your computers sound is on.
b) that sound isn't disabled by a button on your headset, etc.

2. You can turn off your camera by clicking Stop Video. If you click the arrow next to the Stop Video button you can choose which camera to use if you have several connected.


Functions of Zoom

Zoom_JoinAudio.pngJoin Audio — Turns your microphone on/off. You can click this if you aren't going to be talking for a while., for example, when entering a meeting for the first time.

Zoom_StartVideo.pngStop/start video — Turns your webcam on/off. 
Invite — Invite participants who aren't in the meeting yet.
Manage participants — This lets you manage your participants: whether they can use microphone, camera, etc. 
Share — gives you the option to share your entire screen or a window of your choice.
Chat — opens the chat window where participants can message each other, alternatively, a space for note taking during the meeting.
Record — Click this to record and save the meeting as a video file. You can upload it to the course for future reference.
Breakout Rooms — Breakout rooms are equivalent to group rooms. Divide participants into these rooms and visit them to see how their work is coming along.
End meeting - This ends the meeting for everyone.
