Labs, Miniproject, Workout
Labs
There will three laboratory sections. The labs help you in solving the project, but they are not graded.
- Lab 1: Linear algebra
- Lab 2: Finite difference method
- Lab 3: Finite element method
Project
There will be one mandatory programming project which consists of three parts. The project can be done in a group of 2--3 students: you will then submit your code and write a report jointly. Follow the instruction below about writing your report. The report should be submitted in Studium and will be checked for plagiarism. There will be three deadlines for each part of the project. Always submit your work before the deadline, if you miss the deadline without any reason (especially if you miss the last deadline) you will have to wait until the next course or re-examination period.
Deadlines
Generally submit your report within a week after the corresponding project-session. The final version, including corrections, is due a week after the exam. After that you are referred to next version of the course.
- Part A: September 20, 2021 (preliminary)
- Part B: October 5, 2021 (preliminary)
- Part C: October 18, 2021 (preliminary)
- Strict deadline for completing the full project is November 2.
Mandatory problem solving sessions ("workouts")
During the course we will have 3 mandatory problem solving sessions. You are allowed to work in groups (up to 4 persons).
As proof of attending the session you will upload a copy ot the first page (your solutions), before deadline. All students attending should submit!
If you cannot attend the session, submit written solutions (a single pdf-file) no later than one week after the session. Absolute deadline to submit final versions is one week after the final exam. The next possibility will be the next time the course is given.
