Project
After the main 5 hp course, you are encouraged to carry out a project for an additional 3 hp, although it is not mandatory. The main purpose of the project is to give you an opportunity to apply and hone your newfound convex optimization skills on a more realistic problem. Perhaps the course has given you a research idea that you'd like to try out in a low-stakes setting? Or maybe you found some topic particularly interesting and would like to explore that further?
