Waste containers, 1-, 5- and 10-liters transport approved plastic containers, plastic bags/sacks, absorbents and labels can be obtained free of charge from the Lab shop in B1:021b and B1:023b, all days 24/7.

No logging necessary.

Remember:

Large yellow plastic waste boxes with yellow lids (floor boxes - e50, e25) and small yellow plastic waste cans with red lids (bench cans - em4, em7, t21, t3 an t5) , as shown below, is allowed to be placed in the freezer rooms.
Large waste boxes with red lids (floor boxes - s35 and s60) is to be used only when waste has to be autoclaved. Never put theese boxes in the freezer rooms, the autoclavation staff takes care of them, P3 lab excluded.

Autoclavation of infectious waste

Sometimes One want to autoclave Ones infectious waste.

If You want to use the BMC lab dish facility they only accept the yellow 35 litres and 60 litres autoclavation boxes with red lids.

On the box it is of vital importancy You put name, phone number, room- or corridor.

To use the boxes remember You can place the lid in an OPEN or CLOSED position on the box.

a) When You use it in the lab You might want to lay the lid loose on top of the box to cover the interior temporarily. In that case you have place the lid in the OPEN position.

b) When You have filled the box up to the FILLING LINE and You want to close it permanently You must turn the lid 90 degrees to the CLOSED position.
