Course information:

The course starts 29 August.

We will be a diverse group of people with international backgrounds, and this will be your first stop in your one-year program, the first of four courses in the autumn 2022 term. In Developing Opportunities you will develop your own business idea, experience the first steps of being an entrepreneur, and get to know your fellow students for the upcoming year.

Developing opportunities emphasizes the novelty and uncertainty that surrounds entrepreneurship and new business ideas, which means that customers, competitors, and technologies are not yet known, and ideas need to be shaped in the eyes of others and reality. This is a context where imagination, experimentation and validation, rather than the use of traditional analytical tools, occupy center stage. The course allows you to experience and learn the tools, skills, and mindset of entrepreneurs in the early startup phase. You will – usually in teams – develop your own ideas and business models, validate them and pitch them at the end of the course.

In the four weeks in September we will learn about and experience opportunity identification/idea generation, validation, and pitching & storytelling.
