Welcome!
This Studium page will be used for the two courses Empirical Modelling (1RT890) and System Identification (1RT885).
The two courses share much of the content, but Empirical Modelling has a more extensive project part.

Teaching
Lectures
Will be given on campus, and cover both methods and theory.
Guest lectures
There will also be some guest lectures.
Exercise sessions
The exercises will be uploaded on Studium. You are recommended to look at the exercises before the exercise session.
Computer labs
In these you get to try out the theory and methods from the lectures in practice.
Process lab
Towards the end of the course there will be a process lab, where you get to identify a model for a fan. More information about this will come later.
Project work
Both courses contain projects. You will complete the projects in groups of about 4 persons.
Quizzes
There will be four quizzes available on Studium during the course. For the course Empirical Modeling all these quizzes are mandatory (see Examination Empirical Modelling).
For System Identification only Quiz 3 on recursive identification is mandatory (see Examination System Identification). However, you are welcome to try out the other quizzes as a way to test your knowledge.
