Introduction
Handboken finns även på svenska
Not so long ago online teaching became the norm. Teachers who had previously rarely taught with digital tools were required to meet their students in a virtual environment. Several of the teachers discovered that it gave them an opportunity to review their teaching - and to think about what is most essential.
While most students are back to learning on campus, online teaching will undoubtedly remain an important part of the courses at Uppsala University. In order to continue to provide high quality education to our students, it is necessary to provide engaging and inclusive teaching even when learning is done in the online environment.
This guide is arranged as three modules; the first module gives essential considerations, the second holds advice for planning for online teaching and the third lists several ideas for practical activities that work in the online environment. There is also information about e-meeting technology which is based on the meeting tool Zoom, which is available to all staff and students at Uppsala University. The handbook can also be useful for teachers who meet their students with the help of UU's video conferencing technology.
