This pretest provides you with an introduction (or a review!) of some concepts and terms we will use in this course. It may surprise you to know that the meaning and implications of some of these concepts and terms have changed over time, so don't worry if you get a few of the pretest questions wrong - it just means we'll learn that much more together through this course!

Note that the final four questions are simply survey-oriented. There's no right or wrong answer, so you may safely ignore designation of "incorrect."
