Welcome to the courses:

Advanced Research Training (3MR001), given to Master's students in Medical Research

and

Advanced Research Practice 2 (3MR300), given to the Master's students in Innovative Medicine.

 

The courses consist of a Kick-Off week with inspirational lectures, a Practical Project performed at an authentic research environment and a Mini-Symposium with project presentations.

For more specific information for the content on both courses please look at the "Course Layout" below (available to all students) and the section "Modules" (available only to registered students).

 

Registration to the courses is either made by students themselves via Ladok (for course 3MR001, students that have collected at least 45 credits from their first year courses, registration period: 2024-08-XX - 2024-09-01) or in connection with Roll call (for course 3MR300, students that are new to Uppsala University).

 

The course starts with an obligatory Roll call on 2024-09-02 at 13:15 at Uppsala Biomedical Centre (BMC, Husargatan 3, Uppsala).

Please remember to e-mail your Project Plan to Gerli Rosengren Pielberg latest by the course start (2024-09-02).

Examination 

The courses do not include a traditional exam, but are examined via several separate independent tasks and participation in obligatory moments. For more specific description of examined parts, please look at the "Course Layout" below (available to all students) and the section "Modules" (available only to registered students).

If you need to apply for special support, please do so as soon as possible after starting the course and notify the course director via e-mail.

  • Additional course-specific moments
    • 3MR001: Science Communication
    • 3MR300: BBB3, includes also Venture Lab Weekend and Summer School performed prior to the semester start
  • Writing a Review paper

 

Course Week 20 (2024-01-13 - 2024-01-19)

  • Mini-Symposium with student presentations, mandatory participation
